Description

Origin: Kenya
Process: Natural
Varietal: SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11, Batian
Tasting Notes: Strawberry Milkshake, Passionfruit, Pineapple, Merlot
Filter Roast, available as 200g

Most Kenyan coffee is washed. That's what made the country famous: blackcurrant, sharp acidity, crystal-clean cups. Mung'aria is a natural, which makes it a different animal entirely.

SL28 and SL34 are Kenya's classic varieties, bred in the 1930s for cup quality. Ruiru 11 and Batian are newer, disease-resistant cultivars developed in Kenya to keep farms productive.

Drying the cherries whole turns Kenya's usual acidity into something juicier. It opens like a strawberry milkshake, creamy and sweet, then passionfruit and pineapple bring the tang. It finishes on merlot, round and a little winey.

Big, loud and fun. Brew it as a pour over and let it cool.

Roasted to order in Singapore. Rest 5 to 7 days.
