Description

Origin and Varieties: This specialty coffee comes from the slopes of Mount Kenya in the Kirinyaga region. Grown at an altitude of 1,650 meters, it is made up of the classic Kenyan varieties SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11, and Batian.
Washed Process: Traditional washed processing lends great clarity and a lively, juicy, highly complex profile, revealing notes of apricot, honey, apple jam, dried mango, caramel, and black tea, with bright dark-berry acidity.
Production Steps: The cherries in this lot are harvested on the volcanic slopes, then transported to and processed at the Karimikui wet mill, run by the Rung'eto Farmers Cooperative Society, resulting in a delicate, balanced finish.
