his forest coffee is harvested in the Kaffa appellation, one of the most famous in Ethiopia and the place where coffee originated. Here the coffee grows among a dozen species of trees in optimal shade, allowing the cherries to ripen properly.

The Gushe Buna farm, established in 2001, is located on the border of two kebeles - Gundra and Shela. It has rich and fertile black soil and covers a total area of 368.81 hectares, which includes warehouses, workers' dormitories, drying stations and an office. The processing station is conveniently located just 1 km from the farm.

The Gushe Buna farm covers over 350 hectares in the Kaffa region, 40 km from the main town of Bonga. It is located at an altitude of 1900 m, in a rich natural environment. More than 10 different species of trees make up the forest in which the coffee trees grown here grow. There are, for example, Qararo trees, which can grow up to 40 m and are becoming increasingly rare in Ethiopia. The shade they provide for the coffee trees ensures that they remain in these areas. Birbira trees, which are over 15 m high, also play a role in providing shade. These volcanic soils, composed of black earth, are already very fertile. This protected environment ensures the quality of the batches - from varieties 74110 and 74112 - dried naturally on one of the 200 African beds installed on the farm.
