Description

GUATEMALA ANTIGUA PASTORES – SHB EP

A characterful highland coffee from Antigua Pastores, one of Guatemala’s most renowned coffee origins. The Arabica coffee plants grow at an altitude of about 1,500–1,700 meters on the slopes of the volcanic region surrounding Antigua Guatemala.

The mineral-rich volcanic soils, distinctive microclimate, and cool nights slow the ripening of the coffee cherries and promote the development of pronounced sweetness and complex flavors.

SHB-EP stands for a high-quality, dense-grown bean from high altitudes and careful export preparation. Antigua coffees are known for their fine, bright acidity, full body, elegant sweetness, and notes of chocolate, caramel, and honey.

The coffee is marketed through FEDECOCAGUA, an association of numerous Guatemalan coffee cooperatives. The harvest listed on the sack is 2025/2026.

100% Arabica

Origin: Guatemala, Antigua / Pastoral
Roast: 28 minutes – gently roasted in a 2 kg drum roaster
Character: Mild & full-bodied
Flavors: Delicate interplay of flavors with notes of  caramel, chocolate, and honey
Strength: 3 out of 1–5

Gently and slowly roasted at Anna’s Kaffeerösterei

We deliberately roast this special Guatemala Antigua slowly and gently in small batches. Carefully developing the beans creates a balanced coffee with plenty of sweetness, a creamy body, and characteristic notes of chocolate, caramel, and honey.

The roast brings out the natural complexity of this highland coffee without overshadowing its fine acidity and aromatic depth.

With its mild, balanced flavor and delicate sweetness, this coffee is equally delightful as an espresso or filter coffee.

Your perfect companion for enjoyable breaks—with full flavor and delicate  sweetness.
