As a rule, we buy our green coffee with a long-term outlook and in larger quantities to offset price fluctuations on the global market. Decaffeinated green coffee does not keep as long as caffeinated green coffee because the bean changes during the decaffeination process. For this reason, we can only buy small quantities, and prices are currently changing almost every week. But since the quality of our decaffeinated coffee is truly fantastic, we don’t want to give it up.

CO2 process – solvent-free and aromatic

Our green coffee is decaffeinated using the CO2 process. The green coffee beans are treated with steam, then flushed with carbon dioxide at a pressure of 73–300 bar, which extracts the caffeine.
The carbon dioxide then evaporates, leaving only pure caffeine behind. The CO2 is processed and reused for medical purposes.
