While often categorized under Yirgacheffe, Gedeb sits right along the border of the Guji Zone, producing an explosive cup profile with perfume-like aromatics and bright, fruit-candy sweetness.
Ethical Sourcing & Meticulous Processing
Processed by EDN Ethiopian Coffee, this lot undergoes a unique 24-hour cold-water fermentation after hand-sorting for peak ripeness. The cherries are then moved directly to raised beds to dry in the sun for 3–4 weeks under constant rotation. EDN supports over 200 seasonal harvest workers with pre-financed crop payments, educational resources, daily meals, and lodging-ensuring sustainable, long-term partnerships with local smallholders.
