Description

This is our third year featuring El Indio, a coffee that's become a familiar favourite at Slide. Over the years, it's appeared as a single origin and across a few blends, including Easy Day Filter and Dawn Patrol.

It's been dearly missed by the team, so we're very happy to have it back, this year standing on its own as a single origin espresso.

Behind the coffee

Produced by around 175 coffee-growing families in Colombia's Tolima region, El Indio is a coffee shaped by collaboration and shared knowledge.

Since 2019, local producers have worked alongside sourcing partners to refine natural processing methods. Over time, more growers have adopted this approach, with the majority now producing most of their coffee as naturals.

Surrounded by high mountains and fertile volcanic soils, Tolima has long been recognised as one of Colombia's established specialty coffee regions, with coffees from the area regularly appearing in the Cup of Excellence.

El Indio brings together the work of these farming families and their continued focus on processing and quality. It's a coffee we've enjoyed sharing in different ways over the years, and we're pleased to give it a place of its own again.

Our coffee bags are home compostable.
