David Lopez Gesha

David Alexander Lopez Benitez is known for his smile, hospitality, and curiosity. He has worked in coffee since 2000 and in specialty coffee since 2011, continually experimenting, learning, and generously sharing what he discovers.

The first time the Feast team met David in Honduras, he gifted us a bag of jalapeños from his farm. We've been friends ever since and visit him regularly. David is always planting new varieties and exploring new ways of producing exceptional coffee.

This lot is 100% Gesha, grown at 1,900 meters and washed to highlight the variety's remarkable clarity and aromatics. In the cup, we find delicate florals, chamomile, bright bergamot, and a juicy white peach sweetness--an elegant expression of both Gesha and David's meticulous approach to coffee.
