ORANGE FRUITS, POMELO, CARAMELLY, JUICY
Can't stop, won't stop Chiroso.
Another beautiful example of why we can't seem to get enough of this variety. Villa Luna is juicy, fresh, and absolutely loaded with vibrant orange fruit character.
We're tasting ripe apricot, juicy peach, sweet orange, and bright pomelo acidity, all backed by a rich, caramelly sweetness that brings everything together.
It's lively and expressive, with the kind of clarity and caramelly sweetness that keeps you coming back for another cup.

About Finca Villa Luna
Located in Vereda La Cartagena, Urrao, Antioquia, Finca Villa Luna is a small, two-hectare farm owned and managed by Wilmar Urrego Benitez.
Wilmar has spent most of his life farming, working with both coffee and avocados. He purchased Villa Luna 15 years ago and initially focused on commercial coffee production.
That changed in 2017, when he began hearing about a fascinating variety called Chiroso from neighboring producers.
Curious about its potential, Wilmar planted his first Chiroso trees and began exploring what higher-quality coffee production could look like on his farm.
Over time, that curiosity turned into a commitment.
Three years ago, Wilmar transitioned entirely to specialty coffee production, motivated by the opportunity to improve quality and earn better prices for his work.
Today, Villa Luna sits at 1,800 meters above sea level and is home to approximately 2,500 productive Chiroso trees, with another 1,000 currently in development.
Coffee is very much a family operation. Wilmar's brother farms a neighboring property, and the two work together throughout the year, supporting one another during harvest and beyond.
We began working with Wilmar in 2026, and we're excited to see where this relationship goes.
The Process
Villa Luna undergoes a carefully managed anaerobic washed process designed to build sweetness and fruit complexity while preserving the clarity of the Chiroso variety.
Wilmar begins by selectively harvesting ripe coffee cherries.
The cherries undergo an initial overnight fermentation in barrels before being depulped without water.
From there, the coffee is transferred into sealed barrels for a second fermentation lasting approximately 60 hours.
After fermentation, the coffee receives a light rinse before being dried in a covered marquesina for 8–12 days, depending on weather conditions.
The result is a beautifully expressive coffee with saturated fruit sweetness, vibrant citrus acidity, and a clean, balanced finish.
Why We Love It
There's something about Chiroso that keeps us coming back.
The variety has become one of our favorite discoveries from Colombia, consistently delivering coffees with extraordinary fruit character, floral complexity, and remarkable sweetness.
Villa Luna captures everything we love about it.
It's bright without being sharp, sweet without feeling heavy, and packed with juicy orange fruits that make the cup feel incredibly fresh.
Another Chiroso we're very happy to have in the lineup.
