Colombia – Reserva Cafe Femenino

This Café Femenino lot comes from the Cencoic cooperative in Cauca, Colombia, and is produced by women from the Nasa community. Women play a central role in both family life and coffee production within this Indigenous group. Café Femenino recognizes their contributions and provides visibility, support, and better economic opportunities.

Since the Colombian peace accords, coffee has become an important source of stability in the region. Through Cencoic, more than 900 women producers receive guidance on cultivation, processing, and quality improvement, strengthening both their farms and their communities.

The coffee is harvested and depulped on the same day, then fermented for 12–18 hours, depending on the climate. After washing, the coffee is dried on parabolic drying beds to a moisture content of about 11.5%.

In the cup, expect a balanced and expressive profile with notes of chocolate and brown sugar, layered with wild berries and orange, followed by a sweet finish of caramel and maple syrup, supported by a juicy body and mild acidity.
