Description

The aroma of cacao beans and chocolate stands out, combined with the vibrancy of fully ripe fruit. A delicate flavor in which vibrant fruit notes blend into unique complexity. Its balanced taste offers notes of white and yellow peach, along with a hint of wildflowers that almost brings to mind sweet chamomile. Despite its sweetness, the washed process gives it tannic, tartaric, and malic acidity that changes with temperature. Its body is light, delicate, and captivating. The finish is lingering, leaving a note of chocolate and sweet fruit that stays on the palate.

Santa Barbara Estate is a family-run Colombian company dedicated to producing and exporting high-quality coffee. Its origins date back to the early 1900s, with Don Alejandro Angel, one of the first major Colombian coffee exporters. In the 1980s, his grandson Pedro Echavarría began growing coffee in the Santa Barbara region of Antioquia, drawn by its ideal conditions: favorable microclimates, volcanic soils, and perfect altitude. Today, Santa Barbara Estate comprises five neighboring farms, including Agualinda, the highest, known for its many natural springs and spectacular views of the Sabaletas Canyon. The coffee is processed separately at the La Joyeria wet mill to ensure traceability and quality. In recent years, his son Pedro Jr., together with director Leonardo Henao Triana, has continued to experiment with and refine coffee processing, combining technical rigor with a passion for excellence.
