The Asociacion de Mujeres Agropecuarias de Uribe (ASMUCAFE), an association of smallholder women coffee growers, produces exquisite coffee. Their mission to improve their families’ quality of life and to achieve the social and economic welfare of its members focuses on teamwork. The women work within a framework based on joint responsibility, solidarity, equality, and common benefit.  They achieve this through the production of high quality coffee grown in harmony with the environment. As a result, members help each other with planting, harvesting, and improvements as a group.

The coffee undergoes a double fermentation process. The cherries remain in the the loading hoppers for 14 hours. Depulped in the afternoon and evening, beans are then placed in traditional open fermentation tanks for an additional 10 hours. Then the beans are washed three to four times before being dried in the sun for 8-12 days. This fermentation process gives the coffee a depth and uniqueness with notes of cherry, cocoa, and vanilla bursting forth in your cup.
