DARK ROAST

Want a little more kick to start your morning? The Coal Coast is for those who enjoy a deep, full-bodied cup, without the bitter burnt notes that you typically find in most ‘dark’ roasted blends.
Carefully roasted to surpass any acidity without muting its complex sweetness, shining light on the heavier tones found in these beans. 

When brewed as a black coffee, expect heavy notes of roasted walnut, cacao nibs and burnt toffee.

As a milk-based espresso, the Coal Coast excels in bringing these flavours forward in a more heavy cream based form, very reminiscent of peanut butter dates coated in melted dark chocolate.

 
Our Coal Coast Blend is currently made up of:

Peru Grade 1, Columbia Excelso, Brazil Cerrado.100% Premium Arabica Coffee.

Commercial:

20g espresso in, 44 ml out, contact time 28 to 32 secs.

Home Brew:

18g espresso in, 25 to 30 ml out, contact time 25 to 32 secs.
