Description

Reminds us of - Honeysuckle Nectar & White Grape

Claudia Hernandez & Juan Benitez // Santa Elena, La Paz, Honduras
Fully washed field blend // 1600+ masl

Eight years of friendship. Seven coffee releases. One very welcome return.

Claudia & Juan are back! These husband-and-wife producers in Santa Elena, Honduras have been part of the QC family for eight years, and we’re so pumped to have their coffee in our lineup again.

Last year, tariffs and a volatile global coffee market made purchasing coffee financially untenable for our longtime export partner, Catracha Coffee. That meant a season without Claudia & Juan’s coffee at QC. Did you miss them?? We sure did. This seventh release feels especially good.

At the heart of this partnership is a simple idea: the people who grow coffee should share in its success. $1 from every bag sold goes back to Claudia & Juan, and they've elected to split that with their hired cherry pickers and a community health fund overseen by Catracha Coffee. That’s in addition to what we pay for the coffee itself.

Over our past releases, this profit share has returned well over $3,000 to Claudia & Juan and the community behind this coffee. Those dollars have helped with real family milestones and needs, including a graduation suit for their eldest son, Kelvin, and access to healthcare for their younger son, Adan.

This year, we’re also moving away from the blockchain platform that previously tracked the coffee’s journey. Rising technology costs have made that approach harder to sustain for small operators like Catracha and us. However, our commitment to knowing our producers, sharing value, and being open about where coffee comes from continues.

Buying a bag helps carry this relationship into its next chapter. Great coffee from people we love, with more of its value going back to their community. Thank you for being part of it.
