100% Chemical-Free Swiss Water® Decaf from Brazil.
Swiss Water Decaffeination is considered the Rolls Royce of decaf processing. It is 100% chemical-free and uses ONLY pure water to extract caffeine while preserving the origin’s full flavour spectrum. Because a specific batch of Green Coffee Extract (GCE) must be created for each distinct coffee type to avoid flavor cross-contamination, this meticulous method preserves maximum quality and cup clarity.

Sun-dried on concrete patios in Brazil, the result is as close to the original starting coffee as possible: a smooth, comforting, and rich cup layered with smooth milk chocolate, sweet molasses, warm barley, roasted hazelnuts, and creamy macadamias.

More About the Swiss Water Decaf Process

1) Warm Water Bath: The green coffee beans are soaked in hot water to dissolve the caffeine and extract the coffee solids and flavor compounds.

2) Flavour Filtering: The water passes through a specialized carbon filter that uniquely traps only the caffeine molecules while allowing all the natural flavor compounds to pass through.

3) Flavour-Loaded Water (GCE): This creates ‘Green Coffee Extract’ (GCE)—water saturated with flavor compounds but completely free of caffeine. The initial sacrificial batch of beans is discarded.

4) New Beans, No Caffeine Loss: A fresh batch of green coffee beans is soaked in this flavor-loaded GCE. Because the water is already saturated with flavor compounds, the new beans retain their full flavor profile while releasing only their caffeine into the extract.

5) Repeat Process: The filtering process is repeated until the coffee is 99.9% caffeine-free.
