Description

Fazenda Vereda is located in Valle da Grama – a region known for reliable, clearly defined espresso profiles. Warm days, cool nights, and the steady conditions of the high plateau create ideal conditions for dense, sweet beans with pronounced body.

The farm is run by David Ottoni, a prominent figure in Brazilian specialty coffee. An agronomist and co-founder of the Brazilian Specialty Coffees Association, his name stands for technical expertise and a consistent focus on quality.

With 1,200 hectares of coffee cultivation, Vereda is one of the larger operations in the region—and also shows that volume and precision need not be at odds. The plants traditionally grow in the shade of avocado trees, creating a stable microclimate and contributing to even ripening.

Controlled drying is key to the cup profile. Instead of conventional hot air, the farm uses modern silo systems with dry air. This ensures uniform moisture reduction and preserves the structure of the bean’s core—the foundation for clarity and consistency in espresso.

As a single-origin espresso, Fazenda Vereda captures what we appreciate about Brazil: balance, sweetness, and a steady, supporting body.
