We were able to import this Ethiopian coffee directly together with other European roasters. It comes from the famous coffee-growing region of Sidama, more precisely from the Shebedino district. The Sidama Coffee Farmers Cooperative, which represents a total of 46 cooperatives and thus 80,000 farmers, was our contact for the import. In November 2015, Kira and Robin traveled to Ethiopia to visit various cooperatives in the Sidama region. They also had the opportunity to meet the farmers of this cooperative. In May 2017, Kira was able to deepen these relationships during another trip to the region, and Björn visited in January 2024. We paid $5.10/lb for this harvest, which is 27.5% more than in 2025.

This very complex coffee is a sun-dried coffee made up of a variety of varieties.

The coffee has particularly pronounced sweetness, pleasant acidity, and a creamy body. Its flavor is dominated by mango, chocolate, tropical fruits, and passion fruit. It is juicy and has a creamy mouthfeel. We roast this coffee light, which means it works either as a fruity espresso or as a filter coffee.
