Description

53/11 stands for an exceptionally good espresso with an extraordinary story. Racing cyclist Michael Groß presents his second espresso in the Coffeeracer Edition.

When he started cycling, 53 stood for the largest chainring and 11 for the smallest cog. Today, gear ratios are quite different, but Michael Groß wanted to create an espresso that is timeless, classic, and exceptionally delicious.

"53/11 has a solid foundation, with a few sprints and attacks," he says of his new creation, using sprints and attacks to refer to its subtle sweetness and light acidity. An exceptionally exciting sensory experience.

He combined a Brazilian Coffea Arabica of the Mundo Novo variety (30%) with a Coffea Arabica of the Caturra variety, also from Brazil (30%). Their aromas of almonds, dried figs, raisins, and plenty of chocolate bring typical Arabica notes. The blend is rounded out with a bold Coffea Canephora from Guatemala's southern coast. The "Criollo" variety promises rich dark chocolate, cocoa, and caramel.

Along with 53/11, the Coffeeracer is one of the bestsellers in the bold coffee category.
