The origins

It is 1956 and Carmine Cortese begins his adventure giving his dream his name: spreading the culture of coffee and giving life to some of the best blends on the market. This is how Caffè Cortese was born, not just a brand, but a new idea of understanding the most enjoyed drink in the world.

Through the quality of his product, Mr. Carmine, as everyone used to call it, becomes a point of reference in the toasted sector with its bean blends for bars and ground coffee to be enjoyed at home, accompanying its customers to discover small sensory experiences. In a cup of Caffè Cortese, it becomes possible to grasp all the aromas, appreciate the perfect roasting and enjoy the different intensity of flavor.

All while respecting the tradition of Neapolitan espresso and the culture of different tasting styles: a coffee appreciated everywhere, creamy and aromatic, prepared and tested strictly on the spot.

The present. The path started by Mr. Carmine flanked by his wife Maria has continued over the years thanks to the dedication of his sons Giovanni and Elena who have consolidated the role of Caffè Cortese as a precious expert in the sector. Up to today, where the experience in the selection of the raw material was developed by the young Carmine Andrea, grandson of the founder, to the point of expanding and perfecting a range of products made even more popular and current, such as bar grains, ground co.

The new roasting

From the historic Casoria factory, the Caffè Cortese roasting has expanded and moved to Acerra, in the province of Naples. A growth that has made it possible to optimize the manufacturing process with the best technologies in the sector. Today the roasting takes place with the same craftsmanship and scrupulousness of the beginnings, enriched by tools capable of monitoring and controlling all stages of production. Each blend can thus be perfected, maintaining the very high-quality standards at the base of the Caffè Cortese blends. However, it is not only the machines that allow all this but above all the experience of an entire family, which shares a common commitment with collaborators and workers.

More than 60 years dedicated to the production of quality coffee

Whether they are raw or roasted, there is something magical about taking coffee beans in your hands. Smell its perfume, aroma, observe its color and size to recognize its origin; feel that sensorial emotion that anticipates the explosion of taste that will give in the cup; is what we have been doing for more than 60 years. By carefully selecting the best varieties of Arabica and Robusta, roasting them separately or together according to the blends, giving life to all those nuances that give an unmistakable aroma to our blends.
