TOULOUSE Blend Bio-Espresso

Our bold Toulouse coffee blend is made from three sustainable organic coffees and stands out with its full-bodied flavor and notes of chocolate and brittle. 

Here’s what’s in it: a Robusta from India, a dry-processed Arabica from the Matas de Minas region of Brazil, and a washed Arabica from Guatemala.

The Beranagodu family in India produces, among other things, the Robusta that makes up 40% of our Toulouse blend. We source it through Gollücke & Rothfos in Bremen, which has been buying directly in India for many years. This Robusta grows at an elevation of 950 to 1,250 meters and gives our coffee blend its bold body and wonderful crema.

The Brazil Dutra makes up another 40% of our blend. It comes from the Matas de Minas coffee-growing region and reaches us through Göllücke & Rothfos. Ednilson and Walter Dutra run the farm in its third generation, are organically certified, and rely heavily on photovoltaic systems to manage their electricity needs independently. The lot we purchased for our Toulouse consists of yellow and red Catuai varieties and is processed natural.

The final 20% of our Toulouse coffee blend is the Huehuetenango from Guatemala. It is produced by Asociación de Productores de Café Especiales. The association currently comprises 450 smallholder families from the Hueuetenango coffee-growing region of Guatemala. Processed fully washed, the coffee adds a slightly fruity note to our blend. Its sweetness, reminiscent of caramel, creates a lingering, balanced aftertaste.
