Here comes our next blend for automatic coffee machines. Our goal for this coffee was to develop a strong but not bitter coffee for your automatic machines. Choosing the right green beans is crucial for making good coffee in an automatic machine—the coffees should not be too acidic, but they should not taste flat and dull either.

We chose a 50/50 blend of our Brazilian coffee and the new Peruvian coffee. Both were roasted individually and as single-origin coffees for this blend, then mixed. We decided to give the coffees plenty of body, maximize sweetness, and minimize acidity during roasting. The result is a wonderfully bold blend that reflects the origins of both varieties. To us, bold means full-bodied, not ashy and bitter. As a café crema, this coffee impresses with lovely dark chocolate notes and a delicate sweetness. In espresso, its bold body comes through again, bringing out the Brazilian coffee’s subtle nutty notes.

So if you like your automatic coffee full-bodied and strong, this is the right choice. This blend also shines in milk drinks. This Automatico is simply superb.
