El Salvador SHG EP “El Cerro Estate” – Social Project Coffee

Our El Cerro Estate coffee comes from the Apaneca-Ilamatepec region of El Salvador, at an altitude of 1,500 m, and is grown with great care by Fernando Escobar on his farm. This special coffee belongs to the Estate Coffee category and is grown exclusively as 100% Arabica.

The beans grow in nutrient-rich volcanic soil at an ideal elevation, developing a complex aroma. Various varieties are traditionally grown here and processed using the Natural Process (unwashed)—that is, the beans are dried inside the coffee cherry, giving them a particularly fruity, sweet character.

Harvest season runs from December to March, with export shipments from February through June in 69 kg GrainPro bags to preserve the coffee’s quality as well as possible.
