Sister Winter Seasonal Blend

Each year when the temperatures start to dip and we see snow in the mountains, Huckleberry celebrates with our Sister Winter blend. Among other things, winter is a time for gathering with friends and family, sharing good food and warm drinks.

We want to help you serve up something that pleases the whole crowd, from the more traditional coffee drinkers who love milk and sugar to your 22 year old cousin who's a bigger coffee nerd than you are. And of course, since we're dealing with family, it's pretty important to us that each year, Sister Winter pairs well with fireside chatter and some good ol' American bourbon. 

The holidays are also about giving for us, and each year, a portion of the proceeds from Sister Winter benefits a cause we care about.  Over the past few years, we've sent proceeds from the blend back to the Aprocafé Association in Guatemala and to local causes, but this year, we’re shifting back to Guatemala. After Aprocafé co-director Pedro Isaías was killed in a car accident, Huck decided to send a portion of all Aprocafé sales back to Pedro’s family. This year, Sister Winter will be a part of that larger effort across our Guatemalan coffees.

Sister Winter is all Aprocafé. The backbone of the mix is washed coffee from the association, and we pair it with the group’s natural to give it a fruity kick. We're tasting sweet fudge, pecan pie, and fruitcake in this year's Sister - perfect for the holidays.

Good coffee, designed for sharing. But we certainly won't judge if you scrooge it away for yourself.

This past May, Aprocafé co-director Pedro Isaías Gonzales was killed in a car accident. He leaves a massive hole at the association, but an even bigger one for his family. Huckleberry is sending a portion of sales from all Aprocafé coffees directly to Pedro's family, and also inviting our community to contribute.
