Description
Coffee from Tanzania can be surprising—especially when it comes from a place like Malolo, a small cooperative located in the Songwe region in the country's southwest.
This area has exceptional potential—elevations of 1,550 to 1,700 meters above sea level, sandy-clay soils, a varied climate, and a rich agricultural tradition. Here, in the shade of banana and acacia trees, grows Arabica with such a distinctive character that even small changes in processing can take it in a completely new direction.

About the farm
Behind the quality of this lot is Malolo Agricultural Cooperative—an organization that supports smallholder farmers not only with production, but also with education, sustainable agriculture, and access to better seedlings and tools. This shared effort and attention to detail made it possible to create a coffee with more than one side—delicate and creamy, yet with pronounced acidity and notes of dried fruit.
Taste
This coffee has bright, lively acidity and a deep, multilayered profile. The washed process brings out clarity and transparency in the beans, allowing each note to stand out on its own—and together form a harmonious composition. This is no background coffee—it demands your attention and rewards you with complexity that surprises with every sip. It works beautifully as espresso and in milk-based drinks, offering something new each time.
Black tea and sage take center stage—dry and herbal, with a light tannic structure that lends the cup elegance and depth. Chocolate comes through in the middle of the flavor—velvety and balanced, providing a solid base for the other aromas. The cup finishes with juicy orange—citrusy and refreshing, with distinct but pleasant acidity that brings freshness and energy. This is a complex, harmonious composition—ideal for those looking for something more in coffee than just caffeine.
