Finca Gascon -Guatemala

Finca Gascón is located near San Juan Gascón, in the Antigua region of Guatemala. It was founded in 2012 by Felipe Contreras’s father, and Felipe currently runs the farm. It was established in a wooded area, and the coffee trees grow in the shade of the forest, as Felipe understood from the outset that preserving this natural environment was important not only for the ecosystem but also for improving the quality of the coffee.

The farm is located at an altitude of between 1,700 and 2,000 meters above sea level. Its 17 hectares are planted with the varieties Bourbon, Caturra, Catuai, Geisha, and Typica.

The coffee trees’ excellent health is due to the agroforestry model adopted by Felipe, who plants each variety where it grows and thrives best. Since 2023, all the farm’s production has been 100% organic, grown without chemical inputs or synthetic fertilizers, thanks to the natural compost made and used on the farm.
