CONGO
Coffee production in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is concentrated around Lake Kivu. There are approximately 11,000 coffee farms producing the two varieties, Robusta and Arabica. Arabica accounts for one-fifth of total production, with the rest being Robusta.The main Arabica variety is Bourbon, and the harvest season runs from March through June. Its delicate chocolate and sugar aromas, along with notes of citrus and almonds, make it an excellent choice for a successful single origin.
