A natural coffee from Ethiopia, with notes of blood orange, peach, and apricot, plus a touch of cardamom that sets it apart from “just another fruity coffee.” It has a velvety body, pleasant citrus acidity, and a lingering finish with a subtle balsamic note. In other words, it has personality but is still very easy to drink.

Description

This Yirgacheffe coffee comes from Banko Gotiti, Gedeb District, Gedeo Zone, Ethiopia, from producer Abebe Mulugeta. It’s a Heirloom lot, grown at high elevations between 1,950 and 2,200 m, where the cherries have time to ripen more slowly. You can taste the difference in the cup: the flavors are clearer, more cohesive, and more expressive.

The coffee is naturally processed and sun-dried on raised African beds. Its flavor brings notes of blood orange, peach, apricot, and cardamom, while the citrus acidity keeps everything lively and pleasant. The finish lingers beautifully, with a subtle balsamic note.

It has a cupping score of 87 and Organic and Rainforest Alliance certifications. So it’s not only a great coffee in the cup, but one whose origin and production methods are clear.
