Description

A coffee “made in Anjou,” bringing together the flavors of coffee and Cointreau liqueur. A little treat to enjoy in moderation at the end of a festive meal!

The Castro family has been growing coffee since the late 19th century. Committed to regenerative agriculture, they work to preserve soil health so they can farm sustainably for future generations. Grown in clay soil at high altitude, this “Saints” coffee comes from the Los Santos region, in the San Ignacio de Acosta terroir. The harvest takes place by hand from December to February. The Castro family picks only fully ripe cherries, over 3 to 4 passes, to ensure optimal quality.

Brewing: Ideal for gentle pour-over methods such as Chemex and V60 (available only pre-ground)

Score: 83

Varieties: Arabica blend (red Catuai and red Caturra)

Process: Washed, with patio drying

Taste profile: A coffee with lovely sweetness, where citrus notes delicately balance the bitter orange of Cointreau

Roasted on-site using a gentle, slow method.
