Grown on the lush green slopes of the Rwenzori Mountains—also known as the “Mountains of the Moon”—in western Uganda. The coffee’s name is inspired by the Bakonzo people and reflects their entrepreneurial desire to create better prospects and opportunities for future generations.

The beans are sourced through partnerships with Omwani Coffee and Agri Evolve. Together, they support washing stations and coffee farmers in improving coffee quality, developing farming methods, and increasing local incomes.

One example is Masereka Obed, pictured above. He is a father, husband, mentor, lead farmer, and elder responsible for his cooperative. His farm is nestled in the mountains at an altitude of about 1,200 meters.
He also works closely with the local buying center at considerably higher elevations, where he coordinates the collection and reception of coffee from other farmers in his group.
