Description

This honey-processed coffee comes from Badeyi Processing Station, located in Kota Kebele, within Gomma Woreda, in the Jimma Zone of Ethiopia. Situated at an altitude of 1,970 meters above sea level, the station spans 2.5 hectares and is surrounded by fertile high-altitude farms that contribute to the region’s reputation for producing unique and vibrant coffees. Although some of the production comes from the owner’s own farm, most is sourced from a wide network of coffee growers in the area.

Badeyi Station processes honey coffee on raised African drying beds, carefully managed to ensure slow, even drying. In 2021, the station had 10 pre-drying beds and 240 final-drying beds, and employed 5 permanent and 66 seasonal workers—47 women and 19 men—reflecting a commitment to both local employment and gender inclusion.
