Ethiopia Sidamo Grade 2 Organic – An Exclusive Highland Arabica
Experience the unadulterated taste of Ethiopia. Ethiopia Sidamo Aroresa Organic coffee comes from the renowned Sidamo region and is processed with the utmost care by the family-run company Kadela Coffee Exporter (Owner: Worku Buche).
In this coffee, Kadela Coffee combines decades of experience with environmental responsibility to offer an exceptional taste experience.
This Ethiopian coffee has a complex and refined flavor profile. Aroma: Bright, lively acidity with pronounced floral flavors, notes of black tea, and fresh citrus nuances.
Sweetness: Natural, balanced sweetness reminiscent of honey, sugarcane, and brown sugar. Body: A refined, balanced body that makes every sip a pleasure.
Origin & Growing Conditions:
The beans grow in the Aroresa district at an altitude of 1,500 to 2,000 meters above sea level. This high elevation leads to slower ripening of the coffee cherries, bringing out their characteristic aromas with particular intensity. The coffee is cultivated by a group of 201 smallholder farmers who work a total area of 1,000 hectares. The project is led by Worku Buche, who has more than 20 years of experience in the coffee industry and guarantees the highest standards of quality and traceability.
Processing: Handcrafted to Perfection
Only fully ripe, red cherries are hand-picked between mid-October and mid-January. The process follows strict quality requirements.
Washed Process: The cherries are depulped and fermented for about 30 hours before being washed in clean water to remove all remaining pulp.
Drying: The washed parchment coffee dries on raised African drying beds for 12 to 18 days.
Care: To ensure even drying, the coffee is turned 4–6 times daily and covered during the midday heat and at night.
Certification
Ethiopia Sidamo Aroresa is certified organic (under EU regulations and NOP standards by CERES GmbH).
