Description

Inoi Kerugoya AA, our freshly roasted Kenyan Filter.
You're going to see so much of what we love about Kenyan coffee with this one.

Our Inoi Kerugoya AA gives us a gorgeously expressive, balanced cup of filter coffee. Brimming with bright, full bodied fruit character, we picked up on red berries, apricot jam and plums while cupping, a nod to the autumn  harvest.

This microlot filter is the end result of the collaborative efforts of the Inoi Farmer's Cooperative society in Kirinyaga County, Kenya. Operating since 1954, the cooperative aims to help farmers to bring their produce to a higher standard, both strengthening their own farm and the cooperative itself. The annual produce of the Inoi Farmer's Cooperative is now collected from around 500 hectares of farmland throughout Kirinyaga county.

This AA filter was harvested from crops grown on rich, volcanic soils between 1,650 and 1,800 metres above sea level, then processed in Kerugoya. A washed coffee, this is a clear example of what we love in our Kenyan filters. After sorting, a short, overnight fermentation is followed by washing, grading and a drying phase that can last up to 14 days. This process gives the coffee a clean and balanced finish.

This is a gem. Pick up a bag of our Inoi Kerugoya AA and see for yourself.
