Description

Origin: Ethiopia

Region: Keffa Zone

Producer: Dinkalem Ademe

Varietal: Heirloom

Elevation: 1800 - 2000 MASL

Process: Washed

Tasting Notes: Lemon, Shortcake, Raspberry

Another great Ethiopian coffee from Swift. Zema comes to us from producer Dinkalm Ademe and his 400 acre farm in the forests of Keffa. With 40 acres dedicated to coffee, he tends the land and his community with care. Swift's relationship with Dinkalem and his wife, Sofiya goes back to 2017.

Unlike many lots from Ethiopia, Zema is a single farm offering. While often Ethiopian lots represent a days production from a washing station, this lot is from a single source. This provides excellent traceability and a guarantee of the producers watchful eye throughout the processing of this coffee.

A buttery and well balanced cup. We find loads of citrus, lemon - sweet breads, and Raspberry. Was really inclined to put Thumbprint Cookie on the bag to be honest. The citrus makes it a tart.
