Dark Inc is Quest’s signature organic medium-dark roast coffee bringing some bite and distinct strength from a blend of carefully selected regions. If you like coffee that tastes like toasted nuts, dark chocolate, spices and caramel this is the blend for you.

People often associate dark roasted coffee with bitter taste. This was historically true as previously coffee roasters did actually roast coffee to an extent that it was burnt. Now, with new updated rosters and processes it is possible to have rich and smooth medium-dark coffee by roasting to just before second crack.

Why is it stronger in taste, you ask? Let us explain with an example. Think of condensed milk. It is continuously stewed and boiled making the water evaporate, leaving behind stronger milk solids. In a similar way coffee beans, when roasted to a higher temperature, release more of the gases stored within them and impart a stronger taste to the coffee.
