About This Coffee
Cromboloni pairs two classic origins to chase pure sweetness. The Salvadoran component brings chocolate richness and natural sugar-browning sweetness, while the Indonesian component adds full body and deep toffee. Together they create a dessert-like cup that is approachable yet layered.
With a sweetness rating of four out of five, a body of four out of five, and acidity of just one out of five, this is a gentle, low-acid blend made for comfort. It is sweet enough to stand in for your morning pastry and smooth enough to drink black, but it truly comes alive in milk.
How to Brew Cromboloni
| Method | Ratio | Notes |
| Espresso | 1:1.5 — 18g in, 27g out | Creamy, syrupy shots for lattes and cappuccinos |
| Filter | 1:14 | Brew water at 93°C for a clean, sweet cup |
If your espresso tastes sharp or thin, grind a little finer; if it tastes harsh or muddy, grind slightly coarser.
How Much Coffee Is in a Bag?
At 15g a cup, a 300g bag makes about 20 cups, or RM1.75 a cup. Two 300g bags make about 40 cups at about RM1.63 a cup, and the 1kg bag stretches to about 66 cups at RM1.65 a cup. The recipes above use 18g for a fuller cup, so expect a few cups fewer if you brew that way.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Cromboloni better for espresso or filter?
Both work, but it is built for milk. As espresso at a 1:1.5 ratio it pulls creamy, chocolatey shots ideal for lattes and cappuccinos. As filter at 1:14 and 93°C it stays sweet and smooth with very low acidity.
What does Cromboloni taste like?
Like dessert in a cup: rich chocolate, toffee, and caramel glaze. It is full-bodied, sweet, and very low in acidity, with a smooth lingering finish rather than any bright or fruity edge.
How fresh is it?
We roast to order in Kuala Lumpur, and every bag ships within 24 hours of roasting, so it reaches you just before its best window, from 5 to 7 days after roasting.
Is it good for someone sensitive to acidic coffee?
Yes. With acidity rated just one out of five, Cromboloni is one of our gentlest, smoothest blends, making it an easy choice if bright or sour coffees bother you.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. Free shipping within Peninsular Malaysia on orders from RM80.
