Altitude: 1700-1900 masl
Varietals: Caturra Chiroso
Process: Honey

A juicy, fruit-forward cup with a refreshing sweetness, delicate floral character, and a gentle citrus finish. Chiroso is a distinctive Colombian coffee variety that first gained wider recognition when producer Doña Carmen won the Cup of Excellence in 2014 with her Chiroso lot. Originally shared among farmers in the Urrao region of Antioquia, the variety has since become an important part of the area's coffee identity. This communal lot brings together coffees from smallholder producers farming at elevations between 1,700 and 2,000 metres. By combining their harvests, producers can offer their Chiroso coffees as a shared microlot, giving each farmer access to specialty coffee markets and the recognition their work deserves.
