Organic Fair Trade Guatemalan coffee.

This coffee comes from a small producers’ organization made up primarily of women in the community of Emanuel, in the municipality of NuevoProgreso, San Marcos Department, in the western part of the country. The organization, ACOMNAT, has around 30 producers, half of whom are women. Each family owns an average of 1 to 2 hectares. The families take care of harvesting, processing, and sun-drying their coffee, paying the greatest attention to every step. The altitude of these areas, which ranges from 1,300 to 1,800 meters, combined with aromatic varieties such as Bourbon, Caturra, and Catuai, is ideal for growing Grand Cru coffee. In addition, the slightly humid climate and shaded plantations allow the coffee cherries to ripen well and develop rich aromas. This gives this organic Guatemalan coffee a lingering finish with floral, chocolate, nut, and citrus notes, good acidity, and a full body.
