Organic Fair Trade Guatemalan Coffee.

This coffee comes from a small producer organization made up primarily of women in the community of Emanuel, in the municipality of NuevoProgreso, in the department of San Marcos in the west of the country. It is ACOMNAT, which has around 30 producers, half of them women. Each family owns an average of 1 to 2 hectares. The families handle the harvest, processing, and sun-drying of their coffee, taking great care at every step. The altitude of these areas, which ranges from 1,300 to 1,800 meters, combined with aromatic varieties such as Bourbon, Caturra, and Catuai, is ideal for growing Grand Cru coffee. In addition, the slightly humid climate and shade-grown plantations help the coffee cherries ripen well and develop rich aromas. This gives this organic Guatemalan coffee a lingering finish, with floral, chocolate, nut, and citrus notes, good acidity, and a full body.
