This decaffeinated coffee comes from our partner cooperative APROLMA in Honduras. After importing the coffee together with our colleagues at "Roasters United," the green coffee was decaffeinated in Bremen using the gentle CO2 method. This leaves a maximum of 0.08% caffeine in the green coffee, allowing it to be called caffeine-free, and of course the beans retain their organic certification. We're delighted to bring you a great-quality fresh decaf that has already won over some decaf skeptics. We paid $4.25/lb + the decaffeination fee for this coffee.

We alternate the Honduras decaf in our selection with the Peru decaf. Because the beans age more quickly after the decaffeination process, this lets us offer you fresher decaf year-round. In terms of flavor, however, the two coffees are quite similar.

The DECAF Honduras has a lovely chocolatey flavor, with notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, and peach. Its acidity is fairly subtle, and you can enjoy this coffee as espresso or filter coffee.
