About the Farm

San José farm, located in Santa Bárbara, Honduras, has more than 140 years of coffee-growing tradition. After four generations, the family began processing specialty microlots, highlighting the farm’s varieties and geographic areas. In 2008, they were finalists in the Cup of Excellence. With Bourbon and Catuai coffee trees growing above 1,400 meters, the Paz Mejía family continues to offer exceptional coffees, combining tradition with innovation.

Situated between 1,400 and 1,600 meters above sea level, its cool volcanic soils provide ideal conditions for developing beans with complex flavor profiles. Santa Bárbara is renowned for producing specialty coffees and its strong ties to coffee-growing traditions.
