Description
Our organically certified coffee Peru Lima Organic has sweet, fruity notes of chamomile, almond, and orange.
The green coffee comes from the Lima Coffee association, which currently has about 800 smallholder farmers from various coffee-growing regions of Peru as members. In 2016, there were 300. Its stated goal is to bring Peru’s outstanding specialty coffees to the world. There is great interest in joining the association: In addition to the quality of the coffee beans, the standard of living of many farmers has also improved significantly over time.
The association’s president is Rony Lavan, a coffee expert who won the 2017 “Cup of Excellence” with one of his coffees. This is the world’s most prestigious green coffee competition in the specialty coffee sector.
