Explore prized Mocha Ansi natural-processed Yemen coffee with notes of dried strawberry, apricot, cascara and red flower. This natural-processed lot comes to us via Pearl of Tehama, a Yemeni exporter founded in 2015 by Fatoum Muslot, as an extension of her father Ali Hiba Muslot’s long-running coffee business. As one of Yemen’s first female coffee exporters, Fatoum has continued her family’s work while building stronger market access for farmers and supporting quality-focused production.

Ansi, in Yemen's Dhamar Governorate south of Sana'a, is a mountainous coffee-growing region where coffee is cultivated on ancient stone terraces and in fertile valleys at elevations of roughly 1,500 to 2,500 meters. Production is dominated by small family farms that rely on generations of inherited farming knowledge and careful hand-harvesting, often making multiple picking passes to select only ripe cherries. Natural (sun-dried) processing is the regional standard, with coffee dried on rooftops, raised beds, or improved drying systems before hulling and sorting. For green coffee buyers, Ansi stands out for its traceable microlot potential, traditional local coffee varieties, expanding coffee acreage, and growing investment in quality improvements across harvesting, drying, and post-harvest handling.
