Origin
Colombia is one of the three largest coffee-producing countries in the world. You simply can't overlook Colombia when searching for outstanding coffee. The Cauca growing region lies in southwestern Colombia, where this harmonious, fruity coffee grows at an altitude of 1,000–1,900 meters. Thanks to its many microclimates, this bean has unique characteristics. The Asociaion de Caficultores Ecologicos del Cauca includes a total of 500 farmers, 80 of whom are women, and farms organically. These small-scale farmers grow coffee on plots of approximately 0.5 hectares. The coffee is certified organic. The Arabica varieties Castillo, Caturra, and Tipica are processed using the washed method. Ongoing farmer training produces an incredibly refined, high-quality coffee.
