About the coffee:
The Inzá community is located on the 'Macizo Colombiano' plateau in the Cauca region, where coffee is grown at elevations of up to over 2000m. These conditions are ideal for growing specialty coffee. The farmers and their families are supported in selling their coffee by the Association Asorcafe, founded in 2003 to improve their economic and social conditions. The producers work on small plots of land measuring only 1.8 to 2 ha. After harvesting, the coffee is depulped, fermented for 20–40 hours, and then dried for 8–15 days.
