Honduras SHB Coffee, El Paraiso Region 

It was not until relatively recently that the Honduran government supported coffee cultivation. Today, the sector employs 30% of the working population. Like most Central American countries, Honduras classifies its coffees according to altitude. It therefore produces clean, washed Arabicas with good acidity and a pleasant aroma.

SHB (Strictly High Grown) coffee is cultivated above 1,500 meters. It is part of the country’s finest harvest. At such an altitude, temperatures are lower, which allows the beans to mature more slowly.

This coffee comes from the El Paraiso cooperative , which produces around 30 tons of coffee each year.
