Description

Hellwach – Intense Vietnamese Espresso Made from 100% Robusta

The name says it all: Hellwach is our intense Vietnamese espresso made from 100% Robusta and a real wake-up call. The bold beans come from the Tay Nguyen region in Vietnam’s Central Highlands, one of the world’s most important Robusta-growing regions. Grown at elevations of 800 to 1,700 meters and selected for premium Screen 18 quality, this espresso delivers exactly the powerful kick you need in the morning.

Gentle roasting and careful “Wet polished“ processing create an especially clean, full-bodied, intense character with an impressive crema.

Flavor Profile

Hellwach impresses with a bold combination of cocoa, walnut, and caramel notes and a pleasant sweetness. These intense, nutty-chocolate aromas make it an especially distinctive espresso with depth.

The cocoa notes create a full, rounded body, while the walnut aromas add a nutty warmth. Delicate caramel notes and subtle sweetness harmoniously round out the intense flavor profile. Typical of high-quality Robusta, it has a dense, stable crema and a bold, lingering finish.

Vietnamese Espresso from the Tay Nguyen Highlands

The Tay Nguyen region in Vietnam’s Central Highlands is one of the world’s most important coffee-growing areas and is especially well known for high-quality Robusta. The coffee cherries ripen in ideal conditions at elevations between 800 and 1,700 meters. Selection to Screen 18 quality—meaning particularly large, uniform beans—reflects a high level of quality.

Unlike most specialty coffees, Hellwach deliberately uses pure Robusta. This variety naturally brings more body, higher caffeine content, and the characteristic, especially dense crema. “Wet polished“ processing also ensures a clean, clear flavor—that’s what makes this Vietnamese espresso such a powerful wake-up call.

100% Robusta – Bold Beans for an Intense Experience

Only selected Robusta beans are used for this espresso. Robusta is known for its full body and bold flavor, delivers more caffeine than Arabica, and creates the dense, stable crema that true espresso lovers appreciate.

Gentle roasting allows the natural flavors to develop fully. The result is a high-quality, bold espresso with a harmonious, nutty-chocolate character that promises moments of intense enjoyment.

Versatile Brewing

Hellwach is ideal for classic espresso preparations, and its bold flavor profile reveals different nuances depending on the brewing method.

Espresso Machine

In an espresso machine, this espresso reveals its full depth and an especially dense crema that brings its cocoa and nutty notes to the fore—the ideal method for Hellwach.

Superautomatic Espresso Machine

This espresso also shines in a superautomatic espresso machine, with its full body, bold flavor, and lovely, stable crema—easy to enjoy every day.

Who Is This Espresso For?
