This year's blend consists of coffees from South America. Aromatics waft delicately off the cup while notes of velvety caramel, stone fruits and cocoa nib roll gently over the palate. This decaffeinated coffee retains the flavor and full-body of its caffeinated version.
The European Process for decaffeinating coffee is the oldest method for removing caffeine from an un-roasted, green bean. The un-roasted beans are soaked in a solution of water and ethyl acetate; an organic compound found in sugarcane, fruits, and cereals.
