Description
Extending from the foot of the extinct Mount Kenya volcano is a fertile highland area that is ideal for growing coffee. The area is home to the Thirikwa farmers’ cooperative, formed by 1,800 smallholder farmers – mostly women – to produce first-class arabica.
This outstanding coffee takes many by surprise with its notes of currants, citrus, and black tea.
