Description

Colombia Huila - Washed Process - Medium Roast

TASTING NOTES: Citrus | Black Tea | Apricot

Colombian coffee is famous for a reason—balanced, versatile, and consistently good. This lot from Huila's high-altitude farms brings bright citrus and delicate tea notes that showcase why Colombian washed coffees are the gold standard.

What makes this Colombian Special:

Sourced from the COOCENTRAL cooperative representing 4,000 farmers across seven municipalities in Huila, Colombia's premier high-altitude coffee region. The beans are washed—meaning the fruit is removed before drying—which creates clean, bright flavors instead of the heavy sweetness you get from natural processing. Grown at 1,400-2,000 meters in volcanic soil where high altitude develops complex citrus and black tea notes with balanced acidity. The result: versatile coffee that works beautifully in drip, pour over, or French press—bright enough to stay interesting, balanced enough to drink every day.

Why Medium Roast for Single Origins?

We roast all single origins to a medium profile to preserve the unique characteristics of each origin. Medium roast lets you taste what makes Colombian coffee different from Ethiopian or Brazilian—the soil, altitude, and processing methods all come through. If you want darker roasts, check out our espresso blends and dark roast blends designed for bold, roasty flavor.

✓ Versatile brewing champion: Balanced acidity and medium body work beautifully across brewing methods—excellent in drip, stunning in pour over, rich in French press.

✓ High-altitude complexity: Grown at 1,400-2,000 meters where cooler temperatures create denser beans and more complex flavors—citrus brightness with apricot sweetness.

✓ Fresh-roasted and shipped within 48 hours. No sitting on shelves for months. Just quality beans delivered at peak flavor.
