Creamy body, sweet notes of chocolate and nuts. Brazil Santos in a 1 kg whole-bean format — low acidity, a single-origin coffee that holds up beautifully with milk.
Description
Single-origin coffee
Brazil Santos brings classic chocolate and nut flavors to your everyday cup
If there were a coffee that defined the classic, familiar, comforting taste of a good cup, it would be Brazil Santos. Sourced from coffee-growing regions in southeastern Brazil, this 100% Arabica coffee is grown at approximately 1,200 meters above sea level, in ideal climate conditions that produce large, healthy beans full of natural sweetness.
This is a straightforward coffee with no unpleasant surprises — a creamy body, low acidity, and generous dark chocolate notes that come through with the first sip. It’s exactly the kind of coffee you reach for in the morning, whether you want a dense, creamy espresso or a cup brewed in a cezve to enjoy as the day begins.
Brazil Santos is freshly roasted in Romania at the artisan roastery Claro Cafe, in our omniroast style — an approach that brings out the natural balance of this origin without masking its sweetness or chocolate notes with excessive roasting. It’s available whole bean or ground to order, depending on your preferred brewing method.

Origin and technical specifications
Santos is the name of the port
The name “Santos” comes from the port in the state of São Paulo, through which Brazilian coffee was traditionally exported. It doesn’t refer to a farm or a single growing region. The lot featured here comes from southeastern Brazil, from the areas of São Paulo and Minas Gerais.
Its profile retains the classic Brazilian character: chocolate, nuts, and low acidity, with a creamy body. It’s a good fit for those who prefer a familiar, balanced cup.
Natural drying of the beans
With the natural process, the beans are sun-dried inside the fruit. For Brazil Santos, this method complements a sweet, rounded profile with notes of chocolate and caramel and a medium-to-full body.

Aroma and flavor profile
Brazil Santos offers a smooth, predictable experience in the best sense of the word — you know what to expect, and it delights you every time.
From the first sip, you’ll taste dark chocolate, the defining note of this coffee. Behind it, nuts gradually emerge — roasted hazelnuts and almonds — adding depth and a warm, almost pastry-like quality. Subtle hints of caramel, honey, and vanilla in the background round everything out with a light, natural sweetness.
You won’t find intense fruity notes or pronounced acidity here. Brazil Santos is the opposite: a well-rounded, balanced coffee with a lightly sweet cocoa and nut finish that lingers pleasantly, without any bitterness or astringency.

Brewing
Recommended brewing methods
Its full body and low acidity express themselves differently depending on the brewing method.
Best for flavorEspresso
The creamy body and low acidity make a dense espresso with intense dark chocolate notes. Its sweet profile pairs well with milk in a cappuccino, latte, or flat white. This is the right method when you want a concentrated, rounded, familiar cup.
Drip (coffee maker, V60, Chemex)
Brings out natural sweetness and flavor balance in a cleaner cup. The chocolate and caramel come through more delicately, while retaining the coffee’s classic character. A good option if you prefer familiar flavors in a lighter form.
French press
Highlights the smooth texture and full body, with a lingering cocoa and nut finish. Dark chocolate stays front and center, complemented by subtle sweetness. A good choice when you want a generous, creamy, rounded cup.
Cezve
Highlights the creamy body and dark chocolate notes, along with nuts and caramel. The low acidity makes for an intense, balanced cup with a lightly sweet cocoa finish. A good choice if you enjoy traditional, full-bodied, familiar coffee.
Moka pot
Emphasizes the nut and caramel flavors in an intense, full-bodied coffee. Dark chocolate completes the profile, while low acidity keeps the taste rounded. This method is a good fit if you prefer a concentrated cup with classic Brazilian character.
Whole bean or ground to order
Choose whole beans or a grind suited to your method: espresso, cezve, moka pot, drip, or French press. If you have a grinder, you can grind the beans before each brew. The ground-to-order option gives you the grind size that suits your brewing method.
Frequently asked questions about Brazil Santos Automatico
How is it different from regular Brazil Santos?
It’s the same single-origin coffee, roasted the same way — omniroast. The difference is the format: Automatico comes only as 1 kg of whole beans, designed for people who use an automatic espresso machine with a built-in grinder and drink coffee daily. The regular version comes in 250 g, 500 g, and 1,000 g sizes, with grind options for cezve, drip, French press, or moka pot. If you brew only with an automatic machine, Automatico is the right format.
Is it really better for cappuccino than other coffees?
Yes, and the reason is technical, not marketing. The natural process gives it above-average sweetness and body, and its chocolate and nut profile naturally complements milk. More acidic or delicate coffees — floral, citrusy ones — lose their character under milk foam or clash with lactose. Brazil Santos has nothing to lose: its notes are exactly the ones that hold up.
Is it suitable if I have a sensitive stomach?
Its low acidity makes it one of the gentler options in the lineup, which is why people who feel discomfort from acidic coffees often choose it. We can’t make medical claims — reactions vary from person to person — but if other coffees have seemed too harsh, this one may be worth trying.
Why is it only available as whole beans, with no grind option?
Because the built-in grinder is the very reason you bought an automatic machine. Coffee ground right before brewing produces noticeably better crema and clearer aromas. If you need ground coffee — for the pre-ground coffee compartment or another brewing method — choose the regular Brazil Santos, where you can specify the grind size when ordering.
Which should I choose: Brazil Santos Automatico or Colombia Supremo Automatico?
Both work great in an automatic machine, but they have different characters. Brazil is the gentlest and roundest — pure chocolate and nuts, no fruity notes, and the best choice for milk drinks and anyone who wants simplicity. Colombia has a little more liveliness: moderate acidity and notes of grapes and red fruit over a chocolate base. If you mostly drink coffee with milk or want maximum smoothness, choose Brazil. If you want a little more personality in your cup, choose Colombia.
How long does a kilogram last, and how should I store it?
Freshly roasted coffee is at its best during the first 30–60 days. Keep the bag tightly sealed at room temperature, away from light and moisture — not in the refrigerator, where condensation affects the aromas. Pour only enough into the hopper for a few days.
